Ayurved Bhavan

The Late Vaidyaraj Pandit Ramnarayan Sharma Ayurveda Bhavan was constructed at the Shri Krishna Janmasthan in order to extend Ayurvedic treatment and medication to the ordinary citizens. The Bhavan's administration was personally looked after by the Late Vaidyaraj Pandit for close to a decade. Even today, capable and learned Ayurvedic doctors run the establishment, and people from far and near visit the temple complex for their treatment.

Temple Gaushala

The Gaushala (cow shelter) within the Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple complex is a hygienic haven for rearing healthy cows. The milk produced here is used exclusively for the services and rituals that are conducted in the temple complex. The devotees find the presence of the Gaushala at His birthplace spiritually moving. They are amazed by the caring that is involved for rearing healthy cows at the Gaushala. Some devotees even believe that the cows whose milk is being used for Shri Krishna's Bhog all the time, are specially blessed, and so are the devotees who have darshan of such sacred cows. Surely, amongst these gentle cows of the Gaushala, the spirit of Shri Krishna's favourite one continues to exist.

Gauseva Prakalp

The Sansthan has taken a pledge to take care of shelter less/abandoned cows and bulls whose owners have abandoned them due to their old age, disease or injury. Therefore, the Sansthan has an ongoing programme for treatment of the old and diseased cows and bulls, as well as the facility to provide the traditional Antim Sanskar and burial to these humble creatures. In the past, bovine carcasses were either floated off down the river Yamuna by the caring devotees, or were skinned by unscrupulous people who would then throw the rest of the body without a burial. Therefore, this noble initiative of the Sansthan not only is an expression of its dedication towards caring of cows, but also its concern for the environment.

Last Rites For Unidentified Human Corpses

The Sansthan is, perhaps, the only organisation in the Braja Region to have taken up the noble task of providing the last rites and rituals to the unclaimed and unidentified bodies belonging, most probably, to those devotees who throng Mathura in their old age. In the past, organised and dignified disposal system for such unidentified corpses did not exist and, often, people floated off the bodies down the river Yamuna. This had led to pollution of the river on the one hand, and a sense of remorse at the sad desecration of the human body on the other. The decayed bodies of people were being eaten by the fish and turtles in the river with fatal consequences. The Sansthan's efforts have provided organised and dignified last rites for the abandoned human corpses and contributed in minimising the pollution load on the Holy river Yamuna quite significantly.

Teerthodwar Sewa Prakalp

This service envisages thorough upkeep and beautification of the ancient ponds, Leelasthals and other areas of religious significance in and around the Brajamandal. Through this initiative, the Sansthan has helped resurrect Gwaal Pokhra in the Shri Giriraj Parikrama (where Shri Krishna used to play with the cowherds), as well as other places at Barsana (the birthplace of Radhaji) and Nandgaon.

Shri Yamuna Sewa Prakalp

The holy banks of Shri Yamunaji is being revived by this endeavor of removing all kinds of compost and trash including dead bodies of stray animals and leftover Puja material like garlands. 'Clean Yamuna - Nirmal Yamuna' seva has been undertaken by the Janmasthan Sansthan as a small step towards ensuring cleanliness in the environs of the virtuous city.
